Welcome to the Saint Anselm of Canterbury web site. St. Anselm is the Ministry in Higher Education for the Episcopal Church at Oregon State University and Linn-Benton Community College. We are sponsored by the Diocese of Oregon.
We are dedicated to exploring and practicing an intelligent faith which honors the intellect and uses it as a divine gift. We use the Episcopalian tradition as the foundation of our worship and our exploration in the conviction that it is a religious perspective of spiritual depth and intellectual integrity. We encourage the respectful exploration of other traditions in the belief that we have much to learn from them.
Canterbury house is available for conversation, study or relaxation. We offer a 7000-volume library focused on the theological disciplines; access to spiritual direction and counsel; a chance to build community with others who take the spiritual life and search seriously; and worship which is informal, devout and challenging. Music is a special aspect of our worship. There is a place within our music program for persons of all ages and skill levels.
The Chaplain, Fr. Jon Goman is not a man with easy answers -- so he has some understanding for those who are exploring their faith.
St. Anselm seeks to be an inclusive community that welcomes people of different ethnic backgrounds and gender orientations.
